I found this Loeb book very good for my Uni essay where I needed the necessary background to Cicero's diatribe against Catiline. The translation is also helpful, but the introductory remarks are the most significant - I am convinced that Cicero's remarks are an exaggeration against this unsuspecting Catiline.
